Scholar Engines was formed in September 1968 to produce modified performance road, race, rally and various competition engines. During this period of time we have gained an enviable record for producing highly competitive cost effective engines.
As engine re-conditioners, we can rebuild almost any post-war classic engine, providing parts are available. Modern engines are also catered for from road to race. As a fully-equipped machine shop, we can provide a wide-range of machining services to a diverse customer base from home DIY enthusiasts to local garages and farmers who sometimes have emergency needs in our rural location! Located in Mendlesham, Suffolk, our extensive workshops are comprehensively equipped to carry out a vast range of in-house machining and testing services. This includes cylinder boring and honing, air bench testing, crankshaft refinishing and full testing on our Schenk engine dynamomoter. Our technicians have collectively over one-hundred and fifty years combined experience of working with vintage, classic, modern, high performance and competition engines!
