Alongside our range of engine building services we have an in-house “clinic” for propshaft repairs and balancing.

If you have a vibration that you have identified as being the propshaft, we can test for balance before carrying out any works. We can balance most types of single and two-piece shafts up to a length of 2.21mtrs (7ft 3 inches). Please note that three-piece shafts can be repaired, but not necessarily balanced afterwards.

Always clearly mark your transmission, differential and propshaft alignment before removing the propshaft to ensure that it can be repaired and refitted to the vehicle in the same orientation!

We hold a stock of UJ’s and centre bearings for Mercedes Sprinter (and VW Crafter), Ford Transit and other popular commercial vehicles.

If you have a custom project that requires a bespoke propshaft, we are able to make a single-piece shaft if the length between yoke centres is provided.

The “clinic” is only open for a few days every month, so next-day turn-around time is not always possible, so please call us to check availability of a slot.
